Browser Policy
The main interface lists the browsers your students have open and allows you to close any of them.
That's the active part, but you can set a policy to do many of these functions for you.
At any time you can specify the browsing level for one or all students.
Need to keep students on task while teaching? Limit their surfing to only the page you are on.
Want to allow one student greater latitude? You can set the single student to free surfing.
Here are all the policy levels:
- Free Surfing : students can surf to any address
- Domain Surfing : students can surf within the domain of the teacher's selection
- Domain List Surfing : students can surf to domains within the favorites list, transmitted automatically from the teacher
- List Surfing : students can surf within the favorites list, transmitted automatically from the teacher
- Restricted Surfing : students cannot surf, only the teacher can change the student's address
- No Surfing : students cannot surf
Suppose that you chose "Domain Surfing" from the list and you set the
base URL by surfing them to the NASA site. If the student attempts to go to the NASCAR site,
their browser will close and a new browser will open back at the NASA site.
